MOBILE PHONE SPECIALIST GOES FOR GROWTH

North-East based business telecommunications specialist, Fone Solutions, is aiming to treble sales and double its number of employees following discussions with Vodafone.

Fone Solutions, who was voted ‘dealer of the year’ at the 2008 Mobile Industry Awards, has been working with Vodafone to help grow its business and increase awareness of the company and its services within the region.

The company, which currently employs 20 at its headquarters in Gateshead, aims to take on more sales and support staff over the next 12 months in order to increase its sales potential.

“Since the company was formed four years ago, we have grown the business steadily and now offer bespoke telecommunications services to around 300 businesses from both private and public sector nationwide,” said Nick Underwood-Lea, managing director of Fone Solutions. “The collaboration with Vodafone is perfect timing as it will enable us to take the company to the next level in terms of growth. Customers receive the benefits of working with a local business that is backed by a leading business network provider.” Vodafone works with partners like Fone Solution in the UK to offer a dedicated service to local businesses.

As well as growing its customer base within the region, Fone Solutions is also looking to expand its services nationwide. “We already have support staff based in Bristol, Salisbury and offices in Liverpool and hope to extend this service to the Midlands and open a base in Birmingham,” Nick said.

Over the next couple of years Vodafone is also continuing to significantly invest in its network across the UK, including the North East.
