BlackBerry is an "always on" wireless solution which enables easy remote access to email, calendar functions and corporate data. Additional features include an inbuilt telephone and web access via WAP. Using a small handheld device, you can stay in contact with your email at all times, wherever you are, without being tied to a desk or laptop or needing to connect via a modem. BlackBerry uses GPRS, operates over high-speed wireless data networks, and as with mobilephones, the devices can be set for use overseas with roaming technology. BlackBerry acts as a wireless extension of your Microsoft Outlook email mailbox. Messages sent from the handheld are sent from your existing corporate email address, so you don't need to worry about additional addresses or forwarding mail, and you only have one mailbox to manage.
